FWC Airboat Operator Course
This official FWC course is designed for USCG captains or for anyone wanting to operate an airboat for hire. (airboat tours, airboat fishing guides, etc.)
As of July 1, 2019, Florida law requires all persons who operate an airboat for hire must complete the FWC Airboat Operator Course by a FWC approved course provider and must have proof of valid certification on their person while operating an airboat for hire. This certification is valid for five years from the date issued. See our FWC Airboat Operator Renewal Course for certification renewal.
The course includes comprehensive classroom and on the water training by a certified instructor. All course materials will be provided. You have the option of using your own airboat for the on the water portion of the course or you may choose to Rent our Airboat, which is specially designed for training. Your certified airboat instructor will teach you basic skills on how to safely operate an airboat. Our airboat is uniquely equipped with duel controls and duel throttles for training. You and the instructor will always be in constant communication via wireless Bluetooth headsets. Everything you need is included in our rate. Just bring yourself and be ready to have fun! Personal Airboat Lessons
Whether you have owned an airboat for a while or you are new to airboats, let Airboat Training Center of Florida help you hone your skills. A certified airboat instructor will teach you how to safely operate an airboat under multiple conditions. From basic to advanced skills, we will customize a training plan just for you to build your confidence and meet your desired outcome of becoming a safe and knowledgeable airboat captain.
Skills include safely operating in shallow water and deep water, 180 degree and 360 degree turns, confined space/narrow channel operations, dry land operations, high wind/strong current operations, transitioning from water to dry land and back to water operations, navigating airboat ramps/dams and much more! From beginners to experienced operators, never quit learning!

FWC Operator Renewal Course
This official FWC Airboat Operator Renewal Course is designed for USCG captains or for anyone wanting to renew their FWC Airboat Operator Certificate for another five years.
Florida law requires all persons who operate an airboat for hire must complete the FWC Airboat Operator Course by a FWC approved course provider and must have proof of valid certification on their person while operating an airboat for hire.
The course includes everything required by FWC for an airboat operator to renew their FWC Airboat Operator Certificate, including required classroom and on the water training by a certified instructor. All course materials will be provided.

First Responder Airboat Course
